1. Holiday Shopping!

Christmas is just a few weeks away. On the Chi Rho Press Web page,
every day is a shopping day we never close!

Books make great gifts! Please do at least some of your holiday
shopping at www.ChiRhoPress.com. Choose from our many wonderful books and
gifts.  Even if you have visited our Web page recently, we encourage you to
click on again today and order a Christmas gift or two.

In addition to books, we have stained glass made to order - crosses,
LGBT flags, and AIDS ribbons. And our rainbow key chains and bracelets make
great stocking stuffers or small inexpensive gifts!

You can help us tremendously by doing at least part of your Christmas
shopping at ChiRhoPress.com. Thank you and happy holidays!

2. New Promissory Notes Offered

As our faithful readers know, Chi Rho Press has stepped out on faith and
hired Kevin Stone Fries as our Editor/Office Manager. Kevin started Oct. 18
and works three days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 10 am
until 7pm, EST.

The addition of Kevin's salary is a significant increase in our budget.
We hope (and expect) that Kevin's efforts will result in more sales and
income and we have already seen increased sales as a result of his work. We do
want to have a bit of a cushion and the Board of Directors has authorized the
issuing of additional Promissory Notes to help our cash flow.

As before, Promissory Notes in $1,000 denominations are available at 8%
simple interest, repaid in eight quarterly payments over a two year period. If
you can invest in Chi Rho Press, please write the Director at
Adam@ChiRhoPress.com, or send your check to Chi Rho Press, P.O. Box
7864, Gaithersburg, MD 20898, and we will return a signed Promissory Note.

Thanks for your support!

4. Support our Library Project!

We urge your support for the Jim Ricketson Memorial Library, in Roanoke,
Virginia.

This new library is a resource for the LGBT community in Roanoke, the
city recently rocked by the homophobic hate crime that left one person dead
and six others wounded in an attack on a gay bar. The Library has the
enthusiastic support of the Rev. Catherine Houchins, Pastor of MCC of the Blue Ridge, Roanoke, Virginia.

The library will provide important resources for research and reading in
the western part of the state of Virginia (Roanoke Valley.) They currently
have over 700 titles, are located in the lower level of The Lifestream
Center, in the Grandin Court area of Roanoke, and will open December 6th on a
limited schedule as a library for our GLBT communities.

Financial and book donations can be sent to Ed Harris, Director; 1713
Ellis Court, Salem, Virginia 24153. Or you may e-mail Ed for additional
information at edbharrisj@juno.com. Checks may be made out to Ed Harris and noted for The Jim Ricketson Memorial Library.

Chi Rho Press is pleased to be a sponsor of the Jim Ricketson Memorial
Library in Roanoke. As part of our support, we are offering anyone a 25%
discount on any Chi Rho Press books to be donated to the library, in honor of the
Roanoke 7.

If you would like to make a donation of a Chi Rho Press book, just
e-mail Adam at Adam@ChiRhoPress.com for details, or send your check or money order for the titles you wish to donate (along with the names of the books) to Chi Rho Press Library Project, P.O. Box 7864, Gaithersburg, MD 20898. We will send the books along to Ed Harris in Roanoke.

I regret we can't offer our shopping cart on the web page for this
special opportunity. Just figure 25% off the list price of the books you would
like to donate and send your check or money order to us at the Press.

Thanks for your support!

5. Adam's Last Word.

Please visit our web site at www.ChiRhoPress.com and see the changes
that are happening there! We are continuing to make improvements and to add to
our web site. We would love to have you visit!

************

The U.S. election is over and the people have spoken. We just can't
figure out what the heck they said! The only clarity is that Americans want
either Mr. Bush or Mr. Gore as the President. I suspect the real winners of this
election will be the lawyers.

The first lesson from this election is that the LGBT community played a
more significant role than ever before. Now more than ever, it is important
for LGBT people and our supporters to be registered to vote, to make
ourselves aware of the issues and candidates in every election, and to VOTE! Only 300 votes currently separate Mr. Bush and Mr. Gore in the entire state of
Florida out of a total of almost six million votes! Perhaps 300 gay people sat
out this election. We need to get our election turnout figures way over 80%
nationally!

The second lesson is that despite the confusion, there is no rioting in
the streets, the military is not involved, there are no tanks patrolling
Washington DC. As funny and quirky as it can be, the American system of
politics does work and there will be a peaceful transition of power to someone or
other come January 20.
--------------------------------------------------
We are glad you are partners with us here at Chi Rho Press. We are eager
for your comments, your suggestions, your assistance with selling our books, and
your own purchases! And of course, we covet your prayers for this ministry.

Grace and peace,

Adam DeBaugh, Director
