Dr. Kavar holds the degree of Master of Arts from the Institute of Formative Spirituality at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, in spirituality and Doctorate of Philosophy from the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh in counseling. He is an ordained United Church of Christ minister.
